We are looking for motivated, professional and service-minded individuals to join our team full-time in the role of a Microsoft NAV/Dynamics 365 Consultant I / Engineer I. In this role, you will join a team developing and deploying mid-market enterprise resource planning (ERP) software products into vertical industries nationwide.  A Consultant / Engineer provides technical consultation, writes code to advance the platform, and supports our industry leading customers.

More specifically, the role and its responsibilities include:

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with clients to (a) support the implementation of complete enterprise management software systems; and (b) following implementation, develop technical solutions for complex operational environments, while engaging with and supporting the client.
  • Develop technical solutions, including detailed business/system analysis and software design specifications to result in the creation/modification of elegant user interface forms and programming code modules that are well-tested and optimized for performance.
  • Listen and understand the customer’s needs and provide proactive suggestions as well as answers to improve customers’ use and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to help influence and prioritize the product roadmap based on market/industry/customer requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Contemporary programming skills with .NET and relational database (SQL) background. Experience with and/or a willingness to learn Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central is required.
  • Experience in Accounting and General Business applications is desired. Specific experience within the Distribution, Manufacturing or Precious Metals industries is a plus.
  • Interest in working in a customer-focused, fast paced technology environment.
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, to react to and share lessons learned across the organization.
  • Good time management with strong organizational skills.
  • Acquire and apply new knowledge quickly and effectively
  • Willingness / ability to travel (less than 20% of the time).
  • Prior programming experience in a professional or academic capacity is required.
  • Computer Science degree (or similar or equivalent experience) preferred

A Business Development Representative (BDR) at CAI Software is a key member of the ERP Software Sales team and is often is the first contact for potential clients.

The BDR uses a wide range of people-skills and expertise about CAI Software’s ERP software and IT solutions, and how we serve customers and businesses in each of our target vertical markets.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the BDR functions as the tip of the spear, producing and driving business for the company’s products and services. As a BDR, you will be tasked with generating new client opportunities through networking and follow up on ‘warm’ leads — businesses that have received correspondence from us — and need a real person to engage with them and begin to explore the benefits of our products and services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Research potential clients to identify areas of their business that would benefit from our products and services
  • Follow up on ‘warm’ leads — businesses with whom we’ve corresponded – via various means to create new business opportunities
  • Introduce CAI Software’s solutions to potential clients to determine if they can add value to their business operations
  • Utilize CRM to track communications and work with Director of Marketing to identify content to nurture and help move prospects into the sales process
  • When the time is right, work closely with a CAI Software ERP Account Manager to potential clients for additional follow-up
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of CAI Software’s products and services, and the innovative ways we serve our clients
  • Utilize senior staff for training and guidance
