Computer Associates Selected To Present At the IPMI’s 34th International Precious Metals Conference

April 16, 2010 — Computer Associates (CAI) today announced that it has been selected by the International Precious Metals institute (IPMI) as a guest speaker at the institute’s 34th International Precious Metals Conference. The conference, themed “Precious Metals in a World Beyond Its Tipping Point” is being held on June 12-15, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona.

Bill Tierney, a member of the IPMI Board of Directors and manager of CAI’s Microsoft Dynamics NAV Group, will discuss how refiners can maximize their metals position―and provide customers with a true, real-time picture―by systematically categorizing and quantifying their inventory based on location, account, asset class and metal types. “Technology continues to drive the refining industry with easy-to-use software that lets you manage inventories, in multiple physical locations, right down to the individual stock-item level,” Tierney said. “Nothing is more fundamental to your business than a 100% accurate metals inventory control solution.”

CAI’s NAV for Refining software, based on Microsoft’s Dynamics™ NAV Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology, streamlines refining, inventory control, settlements and other business processes. The software enables the sharing of financial, technical and operational data to help improve operational efficiencies and make sound business decisions.

CAI’s software is currently in use at 16 members of the IPMI. CAI has been a Sustaining Member of the institute for the past five years.
