June 18, 2018 – Smithfield, RI – Computer Associates (“CAI” or the “Company”), a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and managed IT services to customers in the lumber and building materials (LBM), food, precious metals, and other industries globally, today announced the appointment of Brian Rigney as the Company’s new CEO.
Mr. Rigney will assume responsibilities on June 18 and, as part of a planned transition, will succeed co-founder Jim McCooey who has announced his retirement after leading the Company for the past 40 years.

Mr. Rigney is an entrepreneurial, hands-on CEO with deep experience building high-growth, customer-centric technology businesses. He comes to CAI with a passion for leading talented teams, innovative product development and ensuring strong go-to-market execution.
Brian has held a range of C-level positions in technology companies, including most recently as Chief Executive Officer for Zmags, a provider of SaaS-based platforms that help digital marketers and ecommerce professionals easily create and rapidly publish rich, digital content. Beyond work, Brian’s passions are family and being outside — especially anything that involves two wheels, mountains or the ocean.
