January 6, 2012 — Ponderosa Software today announced its new Mobile Sales Desk application for smart phones, an on-demand business tool that can help LBM and millwork distributors improve customer service and close more sales. The new smart phone app provides a set of convenient sales tools and screens that let you access the information you need to respond confidently and immediately to a customer question.
The Mobile Sales Desk app establishes a secure link to the Ponderosa enterprise resource planning (ERP) software running on the host server and then, at the touch of the screen, lets you access a remote order screen or view customer contact or product information, promotion, on-hand inventory counts, month-to-date (MTD) sales and gross profit (GP)―even each day’s total sales, total estimated GP % and delivery routes.
