June 21, 2011 — Seasoft Software today announced complete ‘anywhere, anytime’ access to and usability of the Seasoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software on Apple Computer’s popular iPad tablet PC.
Frank Motta, Managing Director at Seasoft said, “While the majority of iPad users are playing games, updating their Facebook accounts, and watching videos, the devices are being increasingly taken up by business users. Many of our customers are making iPads available to their employees as a way of increasing productivity via remote access to their Seasoft software.”
The release of the Seasoft iPad app follows last year’s announcement of Seasoft compatibility on the Apple iPhone.
“Due primarily to the iPhones’ small display, the Seasoft iPhone app was relatively limited,” Motta said. “The iPad’s larger diagonal display area of 9.7 inches overcomes the smart phone’s usability limitations to provide full, unrestricted software access, as if they were accessing Seasoft at their desks.”

The iPad‘s size and weight (approximately 9.5 x 7.5 inches and 1.5 lbs.) falls between those of contemporary smartphones and laptop computers. In addition, at about half the price and weight of a comparably equipped laptop computer, the iPad offers a price competitive and more convenient alternative to doing business on the road.
The iPad runs the same operating system as Apple’s popular iPhone, and can run its own applications as well as iPhone applications. Like iPhone, the iPad is controlled by a multitouch display—a departure from most previous tablet computers, which used a pressure-triggered stylus—as well as a virtual onscreen keyboard in lieu of a physical keyboard.
